We are a grassroots, volunteer-run organization dedicated to fighting plans for urban war in our communities.
We reject the military's demands to turn our communities into war zones. The military wants to turn urban areas in Idaho into training grounds for F-15 jets. This would mean that teams of soldiers on the ground and in the air would mock-assassinate the person walking by you on the street, target a vehicle driving on the freeway, and mock-bomb the building on your own block.
We reject the environmental destruction urban war training would cause. The F-15 fighter jets scream across the sky, emitting noise pollution harmful to people and the environment. Globally the Pentagon is the world's largest polluter and not subject to any climate treaty.
We reject the stationing of F-35s in Idaho. Not only do these planes not work, but these F-35 planes represent $1.5 trillion of public funds used for war, death and destruction.
We demand money for people's needs, not war! Idaho has one of the highest poverty rates in the country. Child homelessness has increased by 61% in the last 8 years, and rental prices are skyrocketing across the state. We need money for jobs and education, for infrastructure, for housing, not for fighter jets!
